Introduction
These Terms of Use (the “Terms of Use”) apply to the websites, account tools, and related digital services of SeamLadies (collectively, the “Site”). SeamLadies and its studio are referred to as “SeamLadies,” “we,” “us,” or “our”.
By accessing the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with these Terms of Use, you may not use the Site.
Please also refer to the SeamLadies Privacy Policy, the terms of which are incorporated herein.
The Site is for browsing collections, opening a programme, requesting samples, and managing live styles. It is not a substitute for a signed manufacturing or development agreement. Where a written contract exists, that contract prevails if it conflicts with these Terms of Use.
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. The version published on this page is the current one. Continued use of the Site after a change is your acceptance of the revised Terms of Use.
Intellectual property ownership & use
Please be aware that as you visit and navigate the Site, your use is subject to applicable laws governing the ownership and use of intellectual property, including but not limited to SeamLadies’ trademarks, trade names, copyrights, patterns, and photography, and the rights of the founders and mills we work with.
Trademarks
SEAMLADIES, SeamX™, and related marks, logos, and trade dress appearing on the Site are owned by SeamLadies. You may not use them without our prior written consent, including in meta tags, advertising, or social handles that suggest you speak for the studio.
Copyright
All copy, imagery, lookbooks, spec sheets, grade rules, and software on the Site are owned by SeamLadies or licensed to us and are protected by UK and international copyright laws. You may view them for personal or bona fide programme use. Any other use, including copying, scraping, reselling, republishing, or training models on this material, is prohibited unless you first obtain our written consent.
Blocks, patterns, and tech packs shared in a programme remain subject to the ownership terms in that programme. Unless we agree otherwise in writing, studio methods, blocks, and grade libraries stay with SeamLadies.
User generated content & third party content
If you post comments, measurements, artwork, or files to the Site or to a programme record, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to use that material to run the Site and to develop, sample, and produce the related style. You warrant that you have the right to share it and that it does not infringe anyone else.
The Site may link to mills, payment providers, or social platforms. We are not responsible for their content or practices. Your use of those services is under their terms.
We may remove content that is unlawful, misleading, or harmful to the studio, a founder, a factory, or another user, without notice.
Prohibited uses
You agree not to use the Site for any unlawful purpose; interfere with security, accounts, or programme records that are not yours; copy product imagery, patterns, or pricing to pass off as your own collection; harvest emails or scrape the Site with bots except for ordinary search indexing; or upload malware or attempt to reverse-engineer the account or SeamX tools.
We may suspend access, cancel an order, or close a programme login if these rules are broken.
Orders, samples & programmes
Prices, lead times, and minimums shown on the Site are guides. A style is only in production when we have confirmed fabric, a sealed sample, and a purchase order in writing.
Sample charges, development fees, and deposits are set out in the relevant programme. They are not retail try-on purchases. Consumer cancellation rights for ready-to-wear bought as a finished garment on the Site are described at checkout.
Colour, hand-feel, and make can vary slightly between sample and bulk. That is the nature of mill dye lots and CMT. We will flag a material change; we will not treat ordinary mill variation as a defect.
Payment terms for programmes are as invoiced. Retail checkout is processed by our payment provider. Title in goods passes when we receive cleared funds and the goods are dispatched or collected, unless a programme says otherwise.
Miscellaneous
Errors & inaccuracies
The Site may contain typographical errors, out-of-date stock, or incomplete specs. We may correct them and update information without liability, including after an order is placed, where the law allows.
Disclaimer of liability
The Site is provided as available. To the fullest extent permitted by UK law, we exclude implied warranties that the Site will be uninterrupted or error-free. Nothing in these Terms of Use limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.
Our liability for any claim arising from use of the Site is limited to the amount you paid us for the relevant order or programme in the twelve months before the claim, except where the law requires otherwise.
Applicable law
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK you may also bring a claim in your home courts.
If a court finds any part of these Terms of Use unenforceable, the rest remains in force. Questions: Contact.
